Visual artist
With 20 years of experience, Unai Goiko is a graphic artist usual in posters, book covers, and albums by artists such as La Prohibida or Chico y Chica. Influenced by pop art, surrealism and conceptual art, he has exhibited his works in various group exhibitions.
In 2005 he won the “Bilbao Carnival” poster contest, and has exhibited his works of collages, illustrations and photographs in various group exhibitions such as “MID_E” Egia (San Sebastian, 2003) GetxoArte (Bilbao, 2005), “Switch on the Power” Montehermoso (Vitoria, 2007), Jet Lag Fest Urban (Bilbao, 2011) and GetxoArte (Bilbao, 2015). He has been curator of “Basque Art for Sexual Diversity” exhibitions at Expogela BilbaoHistoriko (2017) and Sala Juntas Generales de Bizkaia (2018), with artists like Ignacio Goitia, Azucena Vieites, Eduardo Sourrouille, Míriam Ocáriz, Elssie Ansareo, Eduardo Gaviña, Alberto de las Heras, Higi Vandis, Bubi Canal, Alba Burgos and Cachorro Lozano.
He has collaborated with many musicians on album covers and designs like La Prohibida “Flash”, Chico y Chica “Bomba Latina”, best national single 2007 by Rockdelux magazine, Yogurinha Borova “Ser Actriz”, the poster for the show Las Fellini “Operación Travesti”, the book about the artist Begoña“ Metamorfosis en el noveno asalto”, and the posters of various Bilbao clubs like Arrebato, El Patio de mi Casa, Conjunto Vacío, Sonora Bar, etc. and parties in Madrid like Coppelia, The Angel and Club Majestic.
In fashion, she has worked with the Modorrra catwalk (Bilbao) with Basque designers such as Ángela Arregui, Mercedes de Miguel, Amaya Arzuaga, Jota + Ge, Míriam Ocáriz, Ailanto, Carlos Díez, and Sinpatrón, and with Ion Fiz on the catwalks of Barcelona and Madrid, winning the L’Oreal award for best collection in 2004. She presented the television program on fashion and makeovers Itxuroso (ETB1) in 2014, and has collaborated on ¡Qué me estás contando! (ETB2), Horrelakoa da bizitza (ETB1), and Cuatrosfera (Cuatro). She has contributed to radio magazines such as Faktoria (Euskadi Irratia), Hablando Claro (Radio Euskadi), Akabo Bakea (Gaztea) and several trend magazines.
